How much would I weigh on the Moon?

12if you weigh 70 on Earth
On the Moon you would weigh 0.17× what you weigh on Earth — 83% less. Your mass never changes; only the pull of gravity does. Type your own weight below (any unit) to see it change across every world.

Why your weight changes but you don't

Weight is just gravity's pull on your mass. Step onto another world and your body is unchanged — the same atoms, the same mass — but the ground beneath pulls harder or softer, so a scale reads a different number. On the Moon you weigh about a sixth of your Earth weight — exactly why the Apollo astronauts bounced across the surface rather than walked.

An astronaut who "weighs nothing" in orbit hasn't lost any mass at all — they are simply falling around the Earth so fast that they never hit it. Weight is about pull; mass is about stuff.
